Understanding the difference between race and racism is a very controversial topic. Even I am trying to understand the difference between the two words. When individuals think about race the first word that comes to mind is racism, I would think its the same, but it’s not. When exploring the web to differentiate the meaning of these two words, one-word that keeps popping up is â€Å"racism†. The words are so similar which makes this topic difficult to write about, but as my English teacher Coarlee Bain says, â€Å"The best way out is not the easy route, but it is the difficult route because you broaden your horizon and learn new things every step of the way.† Individuals are classified based on race and ethnicity and this creates a system that results in inequality amongst others.
